On Thursday the 30th of May, BAYA invites you to a candied conversation dinner hosted by Julie van Kerckhoven.
The Candied Conversations by Baya collective is a feast where stories are woven into meals. The artist-host explores their artistic practice through food and its social, political and identity-molding nature.

Julie is a visual artist, gardener and herbalist. Through her visual work, she engages with her surroundings; she considers it a process of zooming in and out. In the last years, Julie has been focussing a lot on plants as she started to unfold the mutual dependence between people and corn. During this Candied Conversation, she asks: What does a plant tell us when we are attentive and curious?
